Lebanon abdicating its sovreignty

Lebanon seems to be doing a good job of having its cake and eating it too.

They are claiming on one hand that they don't control Hezbola (sp?), but at the same time, they're opposed to Israel being on their territory.

Well, which is it? Do you exercise sovreignty over the southern part of your country?

If you do, then its your responsibility to control the territory and prevent those in your territory from launching unprovoked, and unauthorized attacks against your neighbours.

If not, then you can't complain about another country imposing control over the territory.

Make up your minds. Personally, my preference would be for Lebanon to take control of their own territory, but if they can't/won't, then Israel should, no must use all necessary force to do so for them.

Lebanon is protesting the bombings of its highways and its airports, along with the naval blockade of the country. No, the government does not control Hezbollah and does not really exercise sovereignty over the southern portion of the country. If only the IDF had limited its attacks to Hezbollah... but they haven't. And Lebanon rightfully isn't too pleased.
